Ireland has been inhabited for about 9,000 years according to archaeological studies For most of Ireland’s recorded history, the Irish have been primarily a Gaelic people.
The Irish have their own customs, language, music, dance, sports, cuisine, and mythology. Although Gaelic was their main language in the past, today the huge majority of Irish people speak English as their first language. Historically, the Irish nation was made up of kin groups or clans, also having their own religion and law code.
Friday’s dinner special will be Shepard’s Pie or Fish and Chips (for those who abstain from meat for lent) made by Evelyn Collins and your friends at the Nash.
All you crazy Irish March birthdays are welcome to join your Slovene friends in a polka dance with the Polka Jammers. Dinner starts at 6:30 pm, doors open after 5 pm and music at 7pm with delicious cake by the Tag team bakers, Alice and Jennifer.
