1895 – Ljubljana earthquake occurs
18 January 1919 – The Paris Peace Conference begins. Woodrow Wilson gives his “14 Points” address. The ninth and the 10th are crucial for Slovenes within former Austro-Hungarian borders.

Friday’s Dinner Special will be Pork Loin, Cabbage and Potatoes made by Rick Brodnik, Mike Collins and Evelyn Collins. This is also our January birthdays with The Polka Jammers and a delicious decorated cake or cupcakes made by Alice Frazier and Jennifer Velikan.
Don’t forget about the 17th Annual St. Al’s Sausage Feast that has be moved to the Slovenian National Home, 5 pm, Saturday. Tickets are $20 for adults, $3 for kids 12 and under. There will be plenty of good food and entertainment so make plans now to attend. Further details are on the St Aloysius Lodge #52 KSKJ Facebook page. Reservations are required. If we make $1000 in profit, the KSKJ Home Office will match every penny. The beneficiary this year is the Slovenian National Home and is earmarked for improvements to the heating and air conditioning systems for the Home.
